As a web app developer I can appreciate the riches and rough edges of a young app. Having online way to look up heat by fuzzy search by name is fantastic and probably best choice for priority 1 focus. As a spectator, I really craved seeing competitor and partner display for a specific heat. Having each heat number in the competitor display list and the competitor name in the heat roster each link to the other view would be orgasmic. I was completely unable to correlate the heats in progress with the app list for City Lights Open Friday evening, we went from heat 373 to 6 and nothing made any sense. I suspect this may have been an issue of organizers inability to keep up with data entry.

Right, I stand corrected. Change to ‘very unintuitive to ‘provide feedback, bug report, feature request’ in ‘Settings’ . I would replace top level ‘Forums’ or ‘Discussions’ navigation icon with a superset Term of ‘Feedback’ which would have next level of ‘Help’, ‘Faq’, ‘Feature Request’, ‘Bug Reports’. Personally I would eliminate discussions or forums and if there needs to be one put a pointer to some social media page in a faq and let a different platform manage the chatter

I would love merging the top level icons ‘Feed’ an ‘Notifications’ into a single ‘Comms’ icon that had the annotation of having any notifications or email be an asterix in the upper right corner and existence of any ‘Feed’ or ‘News’ items be an asterist in the upper left of the icon. I see no value in the number, only the existence of unread info. Then you could add a ‘Help’ button that would be the top level for feedback, faq, feature request, HowTo, bug reports, etc. Please don’t make this a social media discussion/rant/blather time sink.
